Itinerary

Day 1: June 7

Welcome to the first day of your adventure in Guatemala! Your exciting journey begins at La Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City, where our team will be waiting for you with open arms. After a warm welcome, you will be taken to enjoy a delicious lunch to recharge your energy and start your experience on the right foot.

We care about your comfort, so after lunch, we will head to Hotel & Spa San Gregorio. This charming hotel offers a pleasant stay, with stunning views of Lake Amatitlán and the beautiful volcanoes that surround the area. Here, you can relax and enjoy the natural beauty that Guatemala has to offer as you prepare for the exciting days ahead.

Day 2: June 8

Welcome to the exciting second day of your adventure in Guatemala! Today, you have the opportunity to choose between two incredible experiences.

Option 1: Pacaya Volcano. At this stunning volcano, you can enjoy a unique hike. If you prefer, you can also ride a horse to the top. This experience offers a moderate level of difficulty, and to fully enjoy it, we recommend bringing comfortable hiking shoes, a cap to protect yourself from the sun, sunscreen, comfortable clothing, and mosquito repellent. It’s an experience you can’t miss!

Option 2: Santa Teresita Spa. If you prefer to relax and rejuvenate, this is the perfect option for you. You will enjoy circuits of hot and cold thermal waters, ideal for relaxing your body and mind. Additionally, you can enjoy a delicious massage that will leave you completely renewed.

Day 3: June 9

Day 3 will immerse you in a fascinating journey through the heart of Guatemala’s culture and education. Your day will begin with a tour of The Little Mountain School, where you will delve into its rich history and explore every corner of this educational institution. You will gain insight into its mission, vision, and values, understanding the fundamental principles that guide its work.

As part of this experience, you will also have the opportunity to learn about the roots of Father Miguel Alvizures. You will visit his family and childhood home, and if you wish, you can participate in the Sunday Mass held at the family residence. Afterwards, you will enjoy a typical Guatemalan lunch, savoring the flavors of local cuisine.

In the afternoon, you will visit a coffee farm, where you will witness the intricate process of planting and harvesting coffee. Although this tour involves some degree of difficulty due to the terrain, the stunning views and enriching experience make it worthwhile.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to meet three families from the community, immersing yourself in the daily life of local residents and sharing unique moments with them.

To conclude your day, you will visit Tiendita La Montañita, where you can purchase souvenirs and handicrafts made by the talented students of the school. This day promises to be a memorable and enriching experience, offering you a glimpse into Guatemala’s vibrant culture and heritage.

Day 4: June 10

Immerse yourself in a unique experience on Day 4 of your trip!

The students of Colegio La Montañita will welcome you with open arms to share a special morning full of exciting activities. You can enjoy unique moments playing, singing, and interacting with these wonderful children.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to get to know our collaborators up close and enjoy a delicious lunch prepared with care by the talented cooks of the school.

To top it off, you will explore the coffee warehouses and taste our exquisite production. An unforgettable day that will bring you even closer to the essence of Guatemala. Don’t miss it!

Days 5 and 6: June 11-12

It’s time to pack your bags. Discover the majesty of Lake Atitlán and its surroundings! This lake, considered one of the most beautiful in the world, will captivate you with its crystal-clear waters and mountainous backdrop. Surrounded by three impressive volcanoes and numerous indigenous villages, each with its own culture and traditions, Lake Atitlán offers a unique experience full of history and natural beauty.

Explore the picturesque villages along the lake, such as Panajachel, San Pedro La Laguna, and San Marcos La Laguna, where you can immerse yourself in the local culture, visit traditional markets, and enjoy the typical cuisine of the region. Additionally, don’t miss the opportunity to take specialized tours, such as the chocolate and textiles tour, where you can learn about the artisanal production of these products and participate in interactive activities.

Day 7: June 13

We will transfer to Antigua Guatemala, a city suspended in time that invites you to enter a world where every cobblestone street tells a story. Located between three majestic volcanoes, this UNESCO World Heritage site is a testament to the country’s rich history and colonial past.

You will be fascinated by the impressive architecture that blends Spanish colonial style with indigenous influences. You will admire the vibrant colors of the buildings, the intricate details of the churches, and the majestic ruins that serve as a reminder of the city’s ancient glory.

Antigua is not just a city of the past; it is a vibrant center of culture and art. We will explore art galleries, museums, and cultural centers. During your stay, you will be accommodated at the Hotel Camino Real Antigua, where you can enjoy luxurious amenities and the charm of this historic city.

Day 8: June 14

Returning to Guatemala City, you will spend the last night of this journey at the Hotel Biltmore. Here, you will enjoy a final dinner with your fellow pilgrims, providing a perfect opportunity to reflect on this adventure together.

The last day of this adventure, as a farewell, you will enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast. The team will give you a warm send off at La Aurora International Airport.
